PLAQUE FOR DDDBM&T IN SALISBURY
On 14th March 2008, In the City Hall of Salisbury, a blue plaque was revealed in honour of local 1960s super group – Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky Mick and Tich.
The Salisbury Civic Society has awarded a Blue Plaque to the Salisbury based pop group in acknowledgment of their outstanding contribution to popular music.
The plaque is situated outside the City Hall, also celebrates the 40th anniversary of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich’s extremely successful hit The Legend of Xanadu.
The nomination came from local historian Jeremy (Frogg) Moody, co-author of the book ‘Hold Tight – Voices from the Sarum Sound 1945 – 1969.’
