“The Lonely Bull” is credited to “The Tijuana Brass Featuring Herb Alpert”. The trumpet intro was lifted for “Don Juan”.

French cover: Noël Cognac – Hey Don Juan EP (Pathé 2C 016-10160) 1969

French singer who started his career with one EP in Summer 1969, featuring Hey Don Juan (French translation of Dave Dee and Co’s “Don Juan”) as well as one track “Le premier pas sur la lune” (First Step on the Moon) after the Moon landing in July ‘69. Coincidentally, Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich were releasing “Mountains Of The Moon” on their last LP.

Noël Cognac later released a few singles, including “Je t’aime, I love you” in 1971, accompanied by Jean Musy, who would record the album “Few And Far Between” sung by Dave Dee four years later. Jean Musy was a pianist / arranger / composer who had orchestrated Joe Dassin’s big Hit: Les Champs-Elysées in 1968. He wrote many film scores, notably for Claude Lelouch.
